2009
LDV emerged from the minds of its two founders who wanted to set up an engineering firm where the final product, be it a turbine, a train or even an electro-mechanical system used to package products, would be at the very core of its activity. Moreover, the idea behind the foundation of LDV was to imagine a work environment that would encourage exchanges and everyone's creativity.
2010 – 2012
LDV moved! In full growth mode, LDV moved into its first offices in Richelieu. The company later on moved its offices to Chambly. Finally, it was in 2012 that LDV moved into its new building, again in Chambly. In those three years, LDV saw its number of employees almost triple from 10 to 27.
2013 – 2016
Over the course of its short history, LDV has been involved in several major industrial projects, in Quebec and elsewhere: gold concentrator in Ontario, iron mine in Schefferville, cement plant in the Gaspé Peninsula, hydroelectric power plant in the State of Washington, to name just a few.
In 2013, further to an initiative by one of its employees, LDV set up the "Club des p'tits génies", a team of engineers and technicians whose mandate is to create and conduct science workshops for elementary school students, and to interest children in the world of science.
From 2016 to date, LDV welcomed on board a number of leading experts in the field of hydroelectricity, which brought the company to another level, in terms of know-how and key skills.
2017 – Today
In 2017 and 2019, LDV expanded its shareholders base, inviting several of its employees to invest in their company.
The LDV team has nearly 50 employees, all of whom contribute to the company’s success and growth.
From its very beginnings, in a small garage converted into an office, to today, LDV remains a company on a human scale, where everyone can express their point of view and develop their skills through their passion for engineering.
